Hi, I’m Melissa from Dash DogWash Wangaratta (3677). I provide mobile dog grooming & dog washing in North, East & South Wangaratta (3678) and Glenrowan (3675).
My biggest tip for dog owners is to keep their dog groomed all year round. Keeping your dog’s coat a manageable length all year round makes it easier for you to brush and will keep your dog happy and knot-free. Regular brushing at home helps your dog get used to the grooming process, making it more enjoyable for them.
If you live in North Wangaratta, South Wangaratta, East Wangaratta or Glenrowan and your dog needs some attention and a spruce up, I’d love to hear from you. I would love to come and meet you and your dog and get them back to tip-top shape and smelling amazing.
I’m excited to meet all the dogs and their owners and have a positive impact on their lives. I am also looking forward to managing my own time and putting in the hard yards to have a successful business.
Dogs are my favourite people! They warm my soul and make me happy. The oxytocin definitely flows freely when I am around them. They always know how to make you smile and love unconditionally. There is no one better. I just love them.
I don’t really have a favourite breed of dog, I love them all. I do tend to be drawn to bigger dogs more than little dogs but I honestly have no favourite.
I have two dogs, Oggie (Groodle) is amazing, he understands everything that is being asked of him and is a real people pleaser. Oggie loves chasing balls, swimming and hanging out with me on the couch. Murphy (Standard Poodle) is such a dude. Everyone loves him however he is a bit selective on who he likes! Murphy is a snuggle bug, who would love to spend his day destroying stuffed toys and sleeping on the bed.
After 15 years sitting at a desk and staring at a computer, I just thought there has to be more to life. I have a minimum of 25 years left in the workforce and sitting at a desk just wasn’t the answer for me anymore. I did a life inventory and realised that I am most happy when I get home and see my dogs and that is when I thought it is time to bite the bullet and actually become a dog groomer instead of just saying it was something I wish I had pursued.
Before grooming I was working in customer service and administration and also doing pet photography. Pet photography has helped me understand dogs’ body language a lot and also taught me to be patient and let a dog find composure before asking anything of them, sometimes they just need a minute.

I absolutely love Melissa from Dash Dogwash. She always shows great care and adapts her routine to suit the personality of the dog. My Maltese suffers from seizures due to anxiety but since having Melissa come to our home, he has not had a seizure since. She genuinely loves her job and the work she does, I feel like she treats them as her own.

Melissa has been fabulous with our labrador Griff. She started washing and nail maintenance at 4 months old and now he loves seeing Melissa and her dog trailer arrive at our house.
Melissa is friendly and easy to deal with and our dog looks and smells great! Two paws up.

She always does an amazing groom on both my fur babies and treats them as if they are her own, and they sure love the cuddles!

Melissa was kind, calm & caring giving Archie (Cavoodle) his first professional groom. Very happy with the service & his full groom. Melissa is very professional & also provided me with advice & ideas to care for Archie’s coat in between grooms. We will definitely be regulars. Highly recommend Melissa & her mobile dog wash.

5 stars!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Melissa did a wonderful job on my furbaby. As it was his first time in a hydrobath, we were both nervous and Melissa put us both at ease immediately! You can tell she loves her work! Highly recommend! Zeus has never smelled so good!

Melissa did an excellent job with our new puppy for his first grooming! He even seemed to have a good time. She arrived a few minutes before the appointment to set up, did a great job, and Pippin loved her! Highly recommended, will be using again!

Thank you Melissa. I am so impressed with the hair de-matting process Kaden is so much happier with no knots or clumps of loose hair which has been hard to get out of his double coat. He looks and obviously feels great. My vacuum and I thank you too. Good Job and would highly recommend you to other pet owners.

My 13 year old Maltese Shihtzu, Molly is looking her best after a shampoo, clip and nail clip by Melissa today. Melissa was on time, friendly and has an obvious care for animals. Molly wasn’t a straight forward customer, not appreciating the bath or the clippers on her legs. Melissa was great with her and switched to the scissors to put Molly at ease. I cant recommend Dash DogWash and Melissa highly enough. Molly has a real spring in her step tonight because she feels and looks so terrific! Thanks Melissa, I’ll be booking Molly in again soon
