The History of Dash DogWash
Dash DogWash was born in 2012 by franchisors Janie & Martin Rose, The Franchise Group. The Franchise Group is behind Australia’s Number One choice in mobile dog washing and grooming, Blue Wheelers.
Blue Wheelers was founded in 1996. Celebrating 25 years in dog grooming our team has grown to over 190 Groomers in 2021. Dash DogWash originated from the growing need for professional, mobile wash only services in Australia. With over 4.8 million dogs living in Australia -“There’s always time for a bath” as we say. Dash also provides a more ‘budget friendly’ option for people who want to make the career change to becoming a mobile dog washer or groomer. As the young and ‘frisky’ brother to the Blue Wheelers brand, our Bright Yellow Kennel, fun cartoon character and engaging brand really makes the Dash business stand out in the crowd and on the road.
Dash DogWash is one of the only franchises in Australia to offer the choice between being a dog groomer or being a dog washer only. Our first Dash DogWasher, Dennis, Dash DogWash Hadfield, joined the family in February 2013. By 2023 Dennis will be the first franchisee to be a Dash DogWasher for 10 years. At the age of 75, what an amazing accomplishment!
The 2020 – 2021 financial year saw incredible growth for the Dash brand, with 9 groomers joining the family! We had our first Dash Dog Groomers join us in Western Australia (Dash DogWash Ballajura) and in Queensland (Dash DogWash Burleigh Heads). We can now truly say that Dash DogWash is a National brand that is growing rapidly.
In early 2021, we had our first team of Blue Wheelers and Dash DogWash Groomers start in the same territory. This dynamic husband and wife duo still can’t keep up with all of the demand for mobile dog grooming services in their owned suburbs.
